Senior House rugby – with several first choice players unavailable it was going to be a tough afternoon. However the boys played with spirit and despite the opening game being against Orchard with the majority of their team being 1st XV players we tackled hard and showed spirited defence, but were outgunned. The second game against Burr was the best of the afternoon, our heads lifted as we saw we could compete and we ran in two great tries, but lost narrowly in the end. Welsh House proved stiffer competition as we began to flag, injuries meant all our subs were being used and again we took a heavy defeat. In the last game Head of House Kit Bowerin gave a good team talk and we started well, again scoring two tries in an end to end match, although we lost all four games we didn’t let ourselves down.
