On Thursday afternoon the Senior Tennis competition took
place, with several of our normal tennis players at home or off games, I was
pleased and grateful to the four Y12 who volunteered to give it a go. The
second pair of Anthony Miarli and Will Clarke surprised themselves, although
reticent at first they took to the afternoon’s competition, playing really well
and enjoying it. The first pair of Freddie Ireland and Charlie Proctor was a
real revelation, they won 3 out of 4 matches and the one they lost was a close
fought affair, overall we came joint third with Burr, Orchard came second,
Skipwith won, a great effort as other Houses had Senior tennis club players
representing them on court.
