House cross country

House Cross Country Standards and Championship – Thursday afternoon saw the whole House out on the new field for the cross country events. It was a bright sunny afternoon, if a little crisp, but good conditions compared to recent weeks. Because of the flooding the course had been diverted to the roads and lanes through Shiplake Village and the events shortened to just one afternoon’s competition, much to the relief of many! We did very well coming 2^nd overall in all the standards and 3^rd in the championship events. Particular mention to Guy Pollard who came 4^th overall and 3^rd in Y11, Tom Armstrong came 4^th in Y9, with Bilal, Faan and Ben in top 20; Marcus Colao came 6^th in Y10, Hassan 16^th, Greg and Toby came 10^th and 11^th in Y11, Anthony and Jamie 4^th and 5^th in Y12, Emma 5^th in the girls event and Gus 7^th in Y13 with Peter and Oran in top 10.
