Gus receives Owl Tie award
The Owl Tie is one of the most impressive awards a pupil at
Shiplake can receive. Very few are awarded each year, as to receive one a pupil
has to show outstanding contributions in not just one, but many areas of
College life. Gus McCulloch was a well deserved recipient today in the Whole
School Chapel Service. When presented by the Headmaster, he praised Gus amongst
the comments made were "great role model, impressive contributions, humility
and selflessness in everything that he does" all reflecting Gus's
involvement in all aspects of Shiplake life. He gives of his best in the
classroom, is a great Prefect, Head Chapel Warden and Head of House, and
contributes fully to extra curricular activities, including sport and CCF. Well
done Gus from all in Everett House.

Shiplake does Strictly
Last Friday

Year of the Horse
To celebrate the Chinese New Year - The year of the Horse, the school laid on Chinese meal at supper for the boys.
However Bill Su and a couple of Chinese friends from Burr felt they could do their own, Mr Caine kindly drove them to a local Chinese supermarket so they could stock up on ingredients. The dishes they cooked up were declared very tasty by the boys and Mr Caine.
